After the last time he saw Dean, Gabriel spent the next month or so keeping himself busy. Just because he was sleeping with a hunter, it didn't mean that he was going to stop his habits. Not completely, anyway. In a vague concession to Dean that he will probably never even hear about, he did keep the killing to a nimimum and stuck to messing with people capable of learning from whatever he put them through.

Picking a moment when he figured Dean would be least expecting it, he pops up, straddling Dean's lap and blithely ignoring anything he might have been in the middle of. "Hey there. Not doing anything important, are you?"

Dean hadn't really been having all that great of a time to be honest. He was busy, sitting in front of his laptop, books scattered all around the table as he tried to find more lore on their latest case. Anything that could help them should they go up against the creature again.

He wasn't expecting a lap full of Gabriel and instinctively he reached out to grab him and hold him steady so he wouldn't fall off. Of course it wasn't entirely necessary but it was a reflex. He didn't care if what he was doing was important anymore he simply leaned forward and hugged the archangel happy for the distraction. "No, nothing important."
