Claudia had slept the best she could in a bare closet of a room with barely a blanket, but it was better than nothing. Still, dawn came early in this new life, and she was uncertain just how early Gabe intended to return. She'd probably have to learn a lot more Latin at some point, but the language barrier worked for now because she could just stare stupidly if anyone asked her anything she didn't want to do. At least, she hoped it would work.
