"I'm pretty sure the only people who'll be paying attention are me, him, any regular customers he may have that want to see the new worker and what sort of goodies to expect from you, and maybe a street brat or two who have nothing better to do."
He would like to not tempt fate. Just have things go well as he keeps seeing what there was to see. Maybe do some checking around for whoever left her here.
