"I'm not sure if you've noticed but angels tend to be really big on consent." Right, time to open one of the new bottles although he'll take it slow for now.

"No kidding," he says with a sigh. "What with the whole Michael and Lucifer tryin' to ride me'n Sam's asses like prom dress rentals."

With that he simply grabs the bottle of Jager and takes a slug straight from it.

Gabriel snorts. "Unless you have a proclivity for wearing pretty dresses I don't know about, I'm pretty sure it's more tuxedo rental."

"Just tryin' to be creative in my wording, man," he grunts. "Besides, some dudes get tux rentals and wear them commando. No thanks."

"I somehow doubt that you wear them often enough for it to really matter," Gabriel points out. Time for a sip.

"I was referring more to the idea of Michael goin' commando...nevermind" Dean snorts, shaking his head. And hey, he's actually feeling a little buzzed for once. Nice. Another drink. "Things I don't wanna think about, that would be at the top of the list."

"About if my brother would bother wearing underwear while wearing you?" Gabriel shrugs. "Provided you didn't decide to skip wearing yours at the time, he would. He wouldn't really care one way or the other about it."

"I get it, I get it," Dean shakes his head again, trying to clear his mind of a really horrible visual. Liquor. More liquor, that's the ticket. Then he looks at Gabriel. "What about your suit? What poor schmuck did you talk into lettin' you in?"

Dean probably wouldn't want to hear that Michael would be perfectly fine with running around naked, would he?

"Beyond someone I wasn't expecting to wear for about two thousand years?" He shrugs. "He wasn't overly religious. Obviously enough so to be willing to say 'hell yeah' to letting me move in, but he didn't overdo it. He also had a sense of humor and a sweet tooth. Which were both qualities that helped get my attention in the first place."

No. No definitely not. Better that Gabriel never ever mention it. Ever.

"That makes a freaky amount of sense," Dean says, raising his eyebrows, trying to imagine the guy who had been inside Gabriel before the angel moved in. He hopes he managed to make to heaven. "You couldn't've picked someone a little taller later on, though?"

He can't help the jab. It's just so easy.

It's been two thousand years. Guy is definitely out and Upstairs by now.

"Sure, if I wanted a vessel not quite up to the job and having it end up in the same sort of shape Lucifer's was in before he got his 'yes' from Sam," Gabriel says pointedly. His current guy fits just right, thank you. Why throw that away and screw up someone else's life in the process?

"Fair enough," Dean says with a shrug. Lucifer had been pretty butt ass ugly by the end of his time inside Nick. And who knew what state that poor soul had been in before he had ben released. "Just curious's all. Don't know too many angels that've been around on Earth as long as you. Other than Metadouche."

"Unless there's someone else I don't know about, just the two of us." His lips twitching is the only sign of his hearing the nickname for Metatron. Giving how much of a pain in the ass he became, he has to agree with the sentiment behind it.

"Dunno. No one seemed as good about keepin' a low profile by bein' right out in the open as you," Dean says, and that's about all the compliment he's going to ever get from the hunter, so enjoy it while you can. Personally, Dean can think of way worse names for Metatron, especially since he duped Cas, but that's not going to help anyone by dredging it up again.

"Spent some time under the radar at first. You know, getting my bearings, finding out what major stuff was going on, learning what not to do to avoid sticking out like my younger siblings do..." He takes another sip of his drink. "Then I was able to do the hide in plain sight thing."

Dean shrugs. It makes sense, and he kind of thinks more angels could use that lesson in life, although...

"Hide in plain sight killin' people who you think were doin' wrong instead of, I don't know, lettin' humans make the call. Except for the douche beatin' on his wife--he got what was comin' to him."

His speech is slightly slurred now and his body's definitely more relaxed where he's slouched on the couch.

"Hey, I don't kill everyone I go after. As you well know. There's been a couple of times I've been tempted to reuse the aliens on new fratboys." Time for another swig of his drink to help the buzz along with feeling more pronounced.

"Speakin' as someone who's been abducted...it's actually a kinda awesome punishment for douchestastic behavior," Dean cedes, raising the bottle of Jager in a toast to him before throwing back another swallow of it as well. "Aliens're different than fairies, but still, no fun for the victim. At all."

Gabriel has to cough for a moment due to a badly timed laugh before he could actually ask what he wanted to. "When did that happen and what did you do?"

Granted, he's pretty sure the answer is a simple 'was a first-born son in the immediate vicinity of the area the fairies claimed as their territory'.

Dean lets out a heavy sigh. Oh man, why did he have to go and bring that up? Drunk him is an idiot sometimes.

"Few years back, right after I found out that Sam had gotten dragged out of the Cage--also that he had no soul to go with his meat suit--and we had a case that was 'UFO' sightings, but really a pissed off leprechaun who made a deal with a watch maker." He pauses, then snorts with laughter. "Man, does that sound messed up. Even for us. And they got it into their tiny, nipple fairy heads that I was a good catch."

"If you weren't a hunter, you would have been. But since you were, iron on you everywhere. Assuming they didn't grab you while you were asleep." He has to smother a laugh as he imagines the looks on the faces of the fairies that thought they found an easy target and very much found otherwise.

Dean shifts a little awkwardly, looking anywhere but at Gabriel.

"Well, uh, they did grab me while I was awake. And then they let me go after a couple of hours. No clue why, though," he admits, twirling the bottle in his hands. "Sam, on the other hand, was busy gettin' busy with some patchouli doused UFO chasing chick. Dude's got no taste without a soul."

Gabriel just looks at Dean thoughtfully as he takes sips. "I'm guessing they didn't make you slow-dance with an alien."

Probably best not to delve too deeply in what they did do with him. Time for the subject of Sam, since Dean brought him up. "So his priorities were a bit screwed."

"Hell no, they didn't do that. And there wasn't any...probing, either," is all Dean is willing to let go. He would rather not think about it, thanks. He snorts at the memory of Sam without a soul. That had been a really...really weird time, even for them.

"Let's just say his ability to empathize was a little distorted. Dude didn't know how feelings worked."

"Probably because the bit of him that does feelings was missing," Gabriel points out. "I'm guessing you kept an eye on him for in case he decided that something that was a bad idea was actually a great one."
