"Hell no, they didn't do that. And there wasn't any...probing, either," is all Dean is willing to let go. He would rather not think about it, thanks. He snorts at the memory of Sam without a soul. That had been a really...really weird time, even for them.

"Let's just say his ability to empathize was a little distorted. Dude didn't know how feelings worked."

"Probably because the bit of him that does feelings was missing," Gabriel points out. "I'm guessing you kept an eye on him for in case he decided that something that was a bad idea was actually a great one."

"You mean keepin' an eye out for him," Dean grumbles, "He thought lettin' me turn into a vamp just so they could get the inside scoop on a nest was a good idea. Bastard." Another period of time he would rather forget. Man, they were starting to add up. "Had to sleep with one eye open, 'cause guess what? He didn't need to sleep when he was goin' soul commando."

"You seem to be fixated on going commando," Gabriel notes as a way of deflecting his own temper.

Dean waves a hand dismissively.

"You're missin' the point there, Gabe," he says in irritation. He's not going to be deterred from his increasingly drunken meanderings here. "Point is, soul beats no soul any day."

As if there's any question about that.

"More like I was trying to distract away from our growing crankiness with your brother. Anyway, yeah, it's helpful for keeping you guys human." Time for another drink.

"Nah, guy's okay now," Dean insists, because, duh, soulful Sam can be a bitch, but he'd take that over the other guy any day. "Anyway, movin' on to 'nother topic. Anythin' else at this point'd be better. Shoot."

"Well, I'm pretty sure that I don't have to question if the alcohol is affecting your judgement yet, so feel like hopping into bed with me?" he says without batting an eye. Dean wanted a subject change, he got it.

Dean blinks at him for a moment. That certainly was a subject change.

"You're not even gonna try to go for a smooch first? Just straight up jump in bed to the sex without makin' out. Very classy, Gabriel."

At least Dean gave the ladies a nice makeout session before suggesting bed time.

He snorts and gives Dean a pointed look. "And how would you have reacted if I slid right on over and started making out with you?"

"Dunno. 'Cause you haven't ever tried," Dean points right out back at him. "You're all worried about the whole freakin' consent thing that you've never even just said screw it and tried to lay one on me."

"Now that I think about it, there was that one time..." Granted, he was a she at the time.

Gabriel eyes Dean from the corner of his eye as he drinks a little more. He's seriously thinking about actually making a move now.

Now he's got Dean's curiosity piqued and he looks at him quizzically.

"Oh yeah? What one time? One of your fake ladies get all quivery below the beltline when you gave her a little nookie?"

"I'm talking about New Year's, smartass," Gabriel says, setting his drink down before disappearing and reappearing while straddling Dean's lap. He's going to consider mention of New year's to be enough warning about the kiss he was now pressing on him.

Dean blinks, barely registering he has a lapful of Gabriel before there's a mouth pressed against his and it seems that Gabriel has finally taken him up on all of the challenges he's made. He freezes, brain stuttering to a halt for a moment. Then a little voice pipes up with 'Oh well. What the hell' and he is pressing right back, fingers of his free hand clutching at his shirt.

Pouring two and three-fourths bottles of Pagan liquor into himself probably helped. He hadn't really been wanting to potentially metaphorically send him screaming into the sunset.

He presses harder into the kiss since Dean isn't shoving him away, letting his tongue press lightly against his lips to seek entrance, sharing the taste of his own drink slightly. Even that tiny amount should be enough to give Dean an idea why he shouldn't drink it.

Any other day, maybe, that could have been how things wound up. But for some reason, today isn't one of those days.

Feeling his tongue pushing for entry, Dean parts his lips slowly, only slightly hesitant as his brain struggles to catch up with what is going on here. Then there's a new flavor in his mouth--definitely liquor, but not the stuff he had been swilling all night--and his body is flooded with a hazy heat, like liquid warmth, and his mind gives up trying to catch up then and there. Instead, he lets out a low noise, tilting his head and parting his lips further to let his tongue explore as much as it wants to.

Gabriel eagerly takes that opening to explore Dean's mouth, one hand going up to thread through the hair on the back of Dean's head as the other forms a light grip on the front of his shirt. Even with the alcohol in his system, he knows enough to take it somewhat slow.

This pace is pretty good so far, and Dean is actually content to settle in and let Gabriel take the lead. His own tongue meets Gabriel's, slicking against it almost lazily. Even if there's stubble rasping against his own, and hard planes instead of soft curves against his body, it's a surprisingly decent kiss.

He lets his tongue switch to brushing against Dean's as he starts rocking in place on Dean's lap, making soft, eager sounds. He's getting more turned on and is doing his part to help Dean along in that department.

The rocking takes Dean by surprise, as do the little sounds Gabriel is making. He wouldn't have pegged the archangel as someone who would make that kind of noise. But he's just fine with it, especially as his own body gets more into it. He tilts his head, allowing himself to just enjoy the kiss, his hand making its way up to tangle in light brown hair, sliding down the couch a little to allow Gabriel easier access.

He didn't peg Gabriel for a lot of things, so what else is new?

Gabriel breaks the kiss for a moment to give Dean a chance to catch his breath before pressing another one on him. Given that breathing is just slightly important to half of the people involved in this. He keeps rocking against Dean, Dean's shifting around allowing him access to a better angle for Dean.

Yes, breathing can be a good thing for the whole, you know, remaining conscious gig he's got going on. He takes advantage of that pause, sucking in a quick breath before leaning up to meet Gabriel halfway this time, although now it's his tongue pressing forward, wanting to lick into his mouth--and it's a real wonder that the archangel doesn't taste like some kind of sugar or lollipop or something like that. That's a half there thought, but it's gone quickly as Dean focuses on more important matters, like rocking his hips up slightly just to meet Gabriel's movements, but it's really a much easier position to rock down in than up.

Tasting like sugar would have required Gabriel to have been eating something with some in it prior to starting the make out session. Like ice cream.

Gabriel lets Dean into his mouth, rocking down harder against him and moving his hands to rest on Dean's shoulders. His jeans are definitely feeling too tight by now, although he refrains from trying to move things along just yet.

As though Dean can't tell that little Gabriel is getting just as into this as big Gabriel. He can feel it with each rock of his hips and he smirks against his mouth, fumbling to set the bottle of liquor on the floor with a soft clunk before he rests his hand on the archangel's hip, pulling him closer. When he breaks for a sucking breath of air again, he mumbles in a low voice, "Try askin' again."
