Gabriel has the feeling that by now, Michael's heard enough from Lucifer that his ass would also be grass if he ever got out. So best for everybody if he stayed put.
He hums for a moment as he looks at the ceiling. "You about ready for me to let you get back to anything you might have been doing besides text me before I showed up?"
"Well, I wasn't really doing anything that can't wait, but if you need to go, then go. I'm fine. You don't needto stay on my account." Castiel sits back up, watching his big brother. "But, Gabriel, if you decide you'd like to talk about whatever is bothering you enough that you got that drunk last night... You know I would do whatever I could to help, right?"
"Exactly." He figures if he ever learns to consistently keep Gabriel from figuring out where he is, he'll be able to hide from just about anything else he might honestly need to.
It might take him awhile to figure it out. But until then Gabriel will just invent new ways of finding him as needed. Maybe turn it into a game.
"I think it's time to go back to doing something that will make the boys have the reaction of cursing my name if they ever manage to find the relevant newspaper article." In other words, slipping into his Trickster persona for a bit. Just because they know who he really is and he's inclined to give them a hand every now and then, doesn't mean he's going to stop.
Castiel is persistent enough that he should be able to figure it out on his own eventually. There is definitely an appeal in a game he can learn from.
"You know, they would probably object a lot less if you chose less lethal methods of punishing your victims." Truth be told, he would object a lot less too, although he certainly doesn't expect to see any sort of change in Gabriel or his behaviour.
"Hey, some people just get to be traumatized and given a chance to learn from the experience. It's just the ones I don't think will change that end up dead." Not that he needs to justify himself to any of the younger angels.
