It's been months since that terrible night when Dean learned just how vengeful, possessive, and jealous Archangels could be. Since then he's suffered through several visits, if one could call them that, with Lucifer. He hasn't seen Gabriel once since that first night even though he's prayed and tried to summon him many times. He'd confronted Lucifer about it thinking perhaps the jealous Devil had done permanent damage to his friend. Lucifer stated that aside from choosing to avoid Dean he was just fine. That hurt to think about; that Gabriel would abandon him like that. That he would leave him to the mercy of his ruthless older brother. Still, he didn't give up. After the last meeting with Lucifer Dean had been left tied up and gagged. He'd prayed for over an hour to both Gabriel and Castiel but neither came to help him. Sam wasn't due back for a day at least so Dean had been forced to partially dislocate his shoulder in order to get himself free. It had taken over two hours but he'd finally managed to free himself from Lucifer's bonds. It's been three weeks since that night and once again Sam had decided to go out for the night. Dean hesitated in wishing him a good night, afraid he was going to have a run in with Lucifer again. In the end he'd bid his brother a good evening and locked himself in his bedroom with multiple angel banishment runes spread out around the room. If Lucifer came back, he'd be ready.

"Can you remove it or alter it?" Dean asked hopefully. He was afraid the answer was no and that worried him. He didn't like that Lucifer could find him anytime he wanted too.

"I don't know," he says hesitantly. "He is the one of us more experienced at doing shit."

"Can you try at least?" Dean asks. He won't admit it but he is afraid. It's not fun when the Devil takes an interest in you for the sheer purpose of destroying you piece by piece.

Gabriel grimaces. Dean's not going to accept no, as an answer, is he? Granted, Gabriel can understand why, but still. "I'd have to take a look."

Dean sighs and nods before hesitatingly standing up. He undoes his belt and undoes his jeans pulling them down and his boxers to show the mark Lucifer left on his ass. "Pretty sure it's this..."

"I'm sure it is," Gabriel says motioning Dean over. This is a time when touching is part of seeing.

It might be easier for Gabriel to come to him beings that his pants are halfway down his ass. Still he shuffled as best he could before turning around again to let Gabe see.

There's nothing keeping Dean from pulling them back up for the walk. Gabriel lightly lets his hand rest on the mark his brother left as he closes his eyes to let himself see what there was to sense about it.

Dean flinches when Gabriel touches the mark but manages to stay mostly still. He knows he's trying to help him.

"Easy there," Gabriel murmurs in a tone reminiscent of the one used when someone is trying to avoid spooking a horse.

"I know you're trying to help, Feathers. But it hurts..." Dean whispers even as he tries to stay still. He was quiet after that because he didn't wanna break the archangel's concentration.

"I know," Gabriel says before going quiet again. A minute later, he's gotten all he can from the mark and takes his hand off Dean to let him get his pants back on properly.

Dean rights his clothes and turns to face the angel. "Well, what do you think?"

"You don't want to hear it," Gabriel tells him frankly.

The hunter swallows and meets the whiskey colored eyes of Gabriel. "Probably not...but I need too."

"You're boned," Gabriel tells him bluntly. "Have you been trying to call for me or Castiel at all?"

"Yeah...all the time. Lucifer left me tied up last time...took me two hours to get free and I had to dislocate my shoulder to do it."

"That's what I thought. Well, not the tied up part. You're gonna need to call us if you want our attention. Like on the phone." Sorry, Deano.

"So I'm effectively in a bubble that only Lucifer can access any time he wants? Can we like...cut the mark out or something?" He's pretty desperate at the moment.

"Yes, and no," Gabriel says promptly, resisting the urge to roll his eyes. "It's not something you can just cut out."

"Can you override it like he did with yours?" Dean sniffles slightly. His voice has a tinge of panic in it, he doesn't like this one bit. This could be a disaster...hell it is a disaster. He's not safe anywhere at anytime. His paranoia was bad before...now it's going to border on insanity.

"I'm not sure you want me over-riding this, since the other one was the fun button," Gabriel points out drily. One that's been gone for awhile, since Gabriel did it so it would fade with time.

Dean looks at him, eyes full of hope. "But there is some way you can help...right?"

"Depends on your thoughts on pain." He's not sure how of if he could affect the rest of it.

"It already hurts whenever he wants it too, even when he's not here he can prod it." Dean admits with watery eyes. "I can't live like this Gabriel..."
