If Garth'zel wasn't blind from hibernation sickness, he'd give the set of soldiers who were his dubious rescuers from carbonite a very unamused look. As it is, he does a fairly good impression of doing so. "Clearly, no one warned you of the dangers of angering a Sith."

He may be weakened from his stay in carbonite, but not that much. A hand stretches out, Force lightning shooting forth to show them the error of their ways. Assuming they survive it.

Garth'zel just keeps his arms folded across his chest and raises his eyebrows, waiting for Kylo to finish working his way through that line of thought. Although he'll add one bit.

"I'd like to point out my own Master--first Lord, then Darth--Zash had been manipulating me since before I was officially her apprentice. What she really wanted was a younger, healthier body to take over. So Masters doing or saying whatever they need to in order to get the results they want isn't exactly unheard of."

"If...if you knew, why didn't you turn your back on your teachings later?" He asked, tilting his head before taking a step closer. Mentally, he knew Snoke was strong, but physically was another matter all together.

And Many things Snoke had told him over the years...well he'd questioned to himself but never aloud.

Garth'zel's expression turns sardonic. "You mean besides the part where if I did, it would have made survival in the Sith Empire just a little bit difficult? Or rather, more difficult than it already was."

It's not like he didn't take the time to examine the things she taught him later to make sure there weren't traps he didn't see later.

He contemplated that, sighing softly. "I'm sorry. I don't know...much. About that time. A lot of...history has been destroyed over the years. In one way or another. I know the teachings my uncle gave me and the things my Master has taught me as well. Snoke...told me as much as he could."

Though, the more he thought about it the more he wondered if that was really true. "Or, he told me as much as he wanted me to know."

"That last is certainly true enough for Masters, be they Sith or Jedi. Sith to maintain power, for the most part; while with Jedi, usually because they think their padawans aren't ready. Sometimes they're right, sometimes they're not. But at least they usually don't deliberately do things that get their students killed." Unlike the Sith, who often enough just shrug and decide the dead apprentice obviously wasn't strong enough and go looking for a new one.

And of course, that had Kylo thinking of all the things he had done for Snoke that could have easily gotten him killed. And he was sure the other wouldn't have cared all that much either. Other than to be angry at having to find a new apprentice.

"Well, there is no one else who could teach me."

Garth'zel may not be able to see, but he makes a good attempt of giving Ren a level look. He'll let him work out the error he made just now, considering Garth'zel was hardly no one. Rather, he was one of the most powerful Sith of his time, both in terms of Force ability and political power.

While the latter is obviously gone, his strength in the Force is still intact.

Of course, Kylo saw the look and he stared back for a moment before blinking.

"Oh."

But just because the other was there certainly didn't mean he was interested in taking on an apprentice. "You've only just woken up in an entirely new era. Why would you want to train anyone?"

"I didn't say I wanted to do it now. I need time to get my damn sight back and catch up on what I've missed before I even think about that. But at least you know you have options now." Even if Kylo should probably keep very quiet about having said option to Snoke, lest he decides to rid himself of his new rival.

"I didn't say now either. I was just asking." He said, frowning before he stepped closer. "I can give you chambers, here on my ship. To give you time to recover. There are things that can help. Medicine."

"A healing trance can also get the job done." No offense, but he's going to be as independent as he can. For all he knows, Ren may change his mind about how hospitable he feels like being, given time away from him.

"Then at least take quarters. There isn't really anywhere we can just drop you off at the moment." He said, tilting his head a bit as he watched the other.

"And you can lock yourself in if you so choose. So no one can come in and harm you. Or attempt to."

Garth'zel smiles thinly. "Or so I don't get surprised and happen to anyone else?"

Such as the two people he's already electrocuted.

"Well...that would be nice too. I like my guards alive...and not needing severe medical treatment." He sighed, brushing his fingers through his hair.

"Can you follow me or...can I guide you?"

"I think I can keep track of where you are well enough to follow you," Garth'zel says acerbically. He's blind, not Force-blind.

He actually chuckled, turning and walking out of the room. He didn't just stalk off though, he actually made sure Garth'zel could follow him through the ship and to the normal living quarters. Though the ones he led to were nicer than any regular crew. "These are for you."

Garth'zel stretches out with the Force to keep track of where things were so he wouldn't find out the hard way where something was to aid in following Ren.

Once at the room, he paces inside and chooses a spot in the middle of the floor to sink down to sit cross-legged on and closes his eyes. "Come back in a few hours. I should be more useful by then."

Time for him to regain his sight and clear up all the other issues hibernation sickness is giving him.

"I'll bring something to eat. I'm sure that will help with your recovery as well. It will certainly help keep your energy up." Kylo watched him for a few moments before turning and leaving, making sure the door closed behind him.

Then he was certain to let everyone on the ship know that no one was to disturb the man in his chambers. Though he didn't explain who he was or why.

Garth'zel's stomach lurches at the thought of food and if his eyes weren't already closed, he'd be closing them tightly. As it is, he needs a moment. "The prospect of food should be appealing by then, yes."

That said, time to sink into a healing trance to deal with his assorted physical issues.

It was hours later when the man finally returned with a tray of food. He stood outside the door for a moment before knocking. He would at least let the man have the option of opening the door.

"I have brought you some food!" He called out.

By this point, Garth'zel is feeling better enough to open the door himself instead of using the Force. "Come in."

Kylo stepped inside, carrying the tray over to a nearby table and setting it down before turning and looking at the Sith. He studied him for a long moment, watching the way the man moved now that he'd had time to heal and feel better.

"How are you feeling now?"

Garth'zel's movements are a lot more sure, now that he can see where he's going.

"No longer inclined to be sick," Garth'zel comments dryly as he closes the door to head over to the table. Now that's been cleared up, he's hungry.

"Well that is an improvement. You will have all the time you need to recuperate if you need it. You are not a prisoner here. You are here as my guest, so should you wish to depart, just let me know where it is you wish to go." He said, sitting down at the table.

Garth'zel can't quite help giving the other man a skeptical look as he takes his seat to start working his way through his food. "Why? I'm sure there's something you want, rather than just me taking off."
